John Cena teases the "self-conscious dysfunction of family" in Peacemaker

Peacemaker, the HBO Max TV indicate each about John Lackland Cena's The Suicide Squad persona, is on its way – and IT's set to delve into the complicated relationship between the titular character, AKA Christopher Smith, and his father, played by Robert Patrick.

"I rattling enjoy the dynamic between Chris and his dad. IT addresses a very important thing that all of us fire relate to, and that's the sometimes uncomfortable dysfunction of family," Cena tells our sis publication SFX cartridge clip.

"In Peacemaker, you'ray gonna see a lot of squeeze that people can bear on to in their lives, and be competent to craft their own takeaways. I ne'er want to tell off people how to feel Beaver State think out when they ascertain something, but I really love the fact that it hits along a great deal of stuff just about what family means to us, searching for favourable reception of others, how to live your life, and nature versus raise and how we'Ra adorned. "The way St. James [Gunn] crafted every character path is really fun," Cena says. "You actually devour a hell of a ride in the eight episodes, and I think Adebayo is no assorted. Thither's a moment in the trailer where Adebayo is same, 'Mankin, if you were just Chris every once in a spell, that wouldn't be so effing bad!' I think she's the one person that creates a unadventurous environment for maybe him to make up him. This is a guy WHO literally, by his own discretion, is dancing in his underwear in individual other's apartment.
